My first intro Brandon Sanderson this book was funny and unique and a unique blend of fantasy and Sci-fi. I loved the banter between the characters and am a sucker for characters struggling with cultural and linguistics differences especially with time travel like settings.

A fun and charming baby step into Sanderson's Cosmere. I had a lot of fun. It dragged a little and took a bit to get going, but I was very impressed with Sanderson's character work. It's my first book of his that is not a Wheel of Time entry, and I very much enjoyed it and will be reading more! Also, props to a current author that publishes OFTEN and many projects. It's nice to know he has a large catalog that I can go to, especially if I'm not necessarily in the mood for a large series. That being said... I'll have to get on the Mistborn and Stormlight trains soon.
This was my first Brandon Sanderson book. I went in completely blind, and I found this surprisingly enjoyable. I liked the rworld building. My only issue was I wasn’t fully on board with how the characters were flushed out.
fun book! i enjoyed. this is the only secret project that isn’t a part of the cosmere but honestly i had a lot of fun with it. would recommend

Really fun book! Definitely more sci-fi than his usual fantasy but a fun "white room" trope read!
3.5!! i ended up liking part 4 a lot hehe BUT OVERALL context is lacking so hard bestie........like all of john's past is completely non-visual....would've liked some flashbacks here and there. on another point i didn't really know this was an isekai and was a bit shocked especially since i read erha just before lmao
