This book is everything that you could want out of a scifi. As a person who likes reading isekai type things, this book takes the cake. A good portion of mystery, love, and sadness to keep you reading. I couldnt put it down and will definitely recommend it to anybody who likes medieval times or scifi.

A great read, but I always get annoyed as a reader getting thrown into a world with unfamiliar lexicon and zero explanation. I wish I’d listened to the audiobook instead of reading the book. But I eventually got past that and enjoyed myself- the guidebook pages through the novel are the best part. I love the idea that the business tycoons of the future could- and did- monetize inter dimensional travel. It’s such a realistic thing for humans to do (and really makes you question the ethics of it).
i really liked reading the frugal wizard's handbook for surviving medieval england. it was a fun story. the main thing i didn't like about this was the whole cop thing. (calling them "heroes" and such) it was so out of place in a novel that constantly poked at corporations and capitalism. other than that it would've been wonderful.
