Sadly... this wasn't for me. It's fun, and goes down easy, but honestly too whimsical to the point it doesn't take itself seriously. I love Brando Sando but every once in a while his humor/quirkiness hits me the wrong way, and unfortunately this entire book was filled with those moments.

Fun little scifi/fantasy issekai, but ultimately forgettable compared to his other works.

A fun read and a different pace for Sanderson. Sometimes it feels a little repetitive that his main characters have a watershed moment in the fourth act like clockwork but I guess if it works why would you change it
