Thank you Storm Publishing for the advanced copy!

I went into this book completely blind. The very first page had me hooked! The first half of the story had me sucked into it and I couldn't put it down. I felt like towards the middle, it did drag a bit and I lost interest. However, at the end I felt that pull again and couldn't put it down!

The dark humor in this book was amazing. I haven't laughed out loud in a hot minute. I don't want to give anything away, but if you like dark humor, some Dexter like vibes and a bit of revenge, maybe you'd like this book!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this book.

This is such a tricky one. The fact that I devoured this book in a single day says it all — it’s seriously addictive

I did love the story line and the FMC really lived up to my expectations. There were a few twists and turns that genuinely had me desperate to know what would happen next. It also gave me Katy Brent vibes which is always a win in my books.

That said, a few parts felt a little unnecessary — nothing major, just small things that didn’t quite hit. The ending did feel a bit underwhelming and slightly rushed, especially after such a gripping build-up. Us, the readers, were so hooked near the end that not only was a lot happening (which sometimes was hard to keep track of) but it just ended so abruptly and I ended up feeling a little deflated.

All in all, the storyline will definitely keep you on your toes, and the writing style is such a breezy, enjoyable read — I can’t not recommend it. I will say H.J Garbett has definitely become someone I will look out for in the future, though if you’re after a truly mind-bending thriller, maybe save this one for when you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter.

Gareth is a devoted husband, dedicated police officer, and he follows a straight and narrow path.
Fran is a loving wife, caring social worker, and…..well….. maybe a bit of a psychopath?

Will their marriage be able to survive Fran brutally murdering their new next-door neighbor, ahem, I mean the mysterious and totally unexpected disappearance of their new next-door neighbor? When duty, the past, corruption, and devotion collide, who will survive,e and can love really withstand it all?

I really enjoyed this book. I’d love to get more of Fran. My Wife, The Serial Killer is dark and funny and fun. Honestly, it reminded me a bit of Finlay Donovan, but if she was a psychopath and not just a circumstance of mistaken identity. Highly suggest for someone who wants a fun twist on crime fiction.

This novel is filled with dark humour,sarcasm,murder-mystery,love,marriage and drama. The banter between the protagonist's was comical, intense and enjoyable.
This book revolves around Francesca aka Fran who is a social worker in child protection and Gareth a detective, who has recently moved to their new house. They are a happily married couples, who's been trying for a baby for couple of years. One day their neighbour Mr.O'Neill goes missing that's when the story begins.Gareth's head Vivian at work says it's a cut n right missing case as old ppl go missing all the time!!!But when he went to investigate Mr.O'Neill home,he feels something is off as the investigation starts, many things begin to unravel and comes to life. Was he aware of his wife's past or what she's concealing?Did he even know his wife at all or what is she hiding???
The monologue of fran was epic, the bond between siblings is depicted well.
I didn't see that twist at end , overall it's a well written book.

Hmm I think it was palate cleanser for me, it was fun, tad bit anti climatic but yeah it works for me

4.5 Stars!

My Wife, The Serial Killer had me hooked from the first chapter when Fran calmly lists the ways to dispose of the body of the neighbor she just murdered. I knew I was in for something special, and boy was it! This book delivers exactly what the title promises: a smart, twisted domestic thriller with a dark sense of humor and a morally murky marriage at its center.

The dual POVs between Fran ("not" a psychopath, chaotic, and calculated) and Gareth (clueless yet endearing and also calculating detective husband) make for a compelling and, at times, hilarious juxtaposition. I loved watching Gareth slowly piece things together while Fran pretended everything was normal. The pacing was strong throughout, but it did slow a tiny bit in the middle. Still, the writing was both sharp and witty, and circled back to the bigger question: how far would you go for the person you love?

The epilogue gave way for a sequel, and I'm dying to know what happens next!

I think this is a snappy little novel that’s a good beach read. It’s entertaining, mainly a no substance all vibes, it a funny book that’s great if you are not looking for anything serious.
