Good mom book

I would recommend this to any married woman with kid. Marriage is hard and motherhood is hard and sometimes the issue is us but just not in the ways we think.

This book captures the challenges of being a woman and working a job and keeping a home and being a good friend/daughter/sister/wife/mom so well. I will definitely be seeking out more books from this author.

Although there are some lessons to be learned here (it actually made me think twice about some of the issues presented that apply in my own relationship), I found it overall a slow read, and the main character slightly annoying. I know it's easy to get caught up in work, kids, and life and lose sight of your relationship, but Penelope seemed quite self absorbed to me. She seriously didn't think marriage would require work? I didn't hate this one, but it wasn't a super engaging read, either.

Nice story that brings to light that you don’t always know what other people are going through. It’s always a nice reminder to be kind to everyone, and just because someone seems to have their stuff together doesn’t mean they don’t need help. And it was so relatable!

Great and important topic. But also gives you a real view of how easily opioids affect everyone. Even in the suburbs
