Dr. Gwen is treats people with violent thoughts. Many of the people she treats are former criminals or potential future criminals. When one of her patients dies along with his wife she is concerned about the implications of her treatment and whether she is liable in any way.

At the funeral we meet Robert. Robert is a high priced attorney whose son was recently killed by the BH Killer. A well known serial killer in the area that targets popular, athletic, male victims.

A child recently escaped and Robert has chosen to represent the man accused. Gwen is concerned that he is not thinking straight and is grieving. Robert is convinced they arrested the wrong man and wants to ensure the right person is held responsible for the crimes.

Robert asks Gwen to prepare a profile of the killer. Gwen is excited at the challenge, but isn’t sure it’s good for Robert.

There are a few plot twists along the way. Everyone was hiding something. In the end it was average for me, but an interesting read.
