anyway, this book really wrecked me but was also really good. so fuck it, five stars.

I really wound up liking this concluding book in this series. I thought it was able to wrap up this story so well. It was such a fast pace read. I loved how the dynamics between the characters shifted between the characters throughout this whole novel. I really loved the how the magic system, developed in this world. I really liked how this book tackled both found family and sister dynamics. This book was a super well paced read and enjoyed the fewer locations and how tight this book was in structure. I am excited to re-read this series in the future.

Honestly, I was board for over half the book. I wanted to know how the series would end, but this book felt different than the previous ones.

Best book compared to the previous ones, good series overall.

(Going to try to keep this spoiler free) I might be more happy that I finished the series than anything else. It was a STRUGGLE. Nothing of consequence happens. Whenever someone gets hurt, two pages later there’s a magic fix that’s never been talked about before. When someone is unconscious for months and even the best healers can’t wake them, one character, who isn’t even a real poisoner, can bring them back in a matter of minutes when it is convenient for the plot line. This is so much of a problem that when a certain someone died, I fully expected them to come back to life pages later. Their death did not affect me at all because I did not believe it. It wasn’t until the very end of the book that I realized they were actually staying dead and by that point, I didn’t care.
