Wow. I need time to digest all of that. I had so many moments where I screamed out in rage and other moments that I was just so happy about. This was a great conclusion to the Three Dark Crowns series but I do wish we had an ACTUAL reunion for my babies at the end. Not just a hint of one. Novella? PLEASE? I also wish a lot of things for my Queens and how their stories concluded. I was really only satisfied with Arsinoe's ending and while many are mad about Mirabella's, it made sense because of who she was as a child. Always the mediator and thus the chess piece that was her role had to be removed for any kind of reconciliation for Arsinoe and Kat. It sucked. It should have been bigger than what it was but it had to be done.

I did not want to end 2019 with a disappointment but here we are...
I did not expect the last book in this series to be so uneventful and boring. Such a weak ending to a series i actually liked very much. I kept waiting for something ANYTHING to happen for most of the book but nothing did. No surprises; not a single plot twist. The only real action that happened was in the last 50-so pages and even that was not worth all the wait. So saying that I’m disappointed is an understatement; especially after how good Two Dark Reigns was. I don’t know what more to say about this book other than it made me mad, incredulous and bored. I’m thinking now if there is something good that i enjoyed about this book but I’m coming up with nothing...so yup! last read and last review of the year is a 2 star rant haha!

What do you even say about the 4th and final book in a fantasy series. I wasn't disappointed by the ending and I left the series feeling very satisfied. I'll miss these characters.
