I really enjoyed this volume and will look for volume 10. I love this series. It is more than meets the eye. The story is so intricately woven with points that lead the read through the past and present. I devoured the book in one day despite adding it to the reading list eight days ago.

So I didn't remember really anything useful about this series. Other than that it was cool and that I didn't love it and it was confusing. Yeah. Well. Nothing has really changed. This was a cool book with good art. And hints at a very complicated plot possibly including time travel and/or teleportation and/or alternate realities. But it makes no obvious sense. But the characters are very compelling and then on to the next character and the next and the next. But heck, why not read the next one.

I can't tell if they're screwing with me. I finally get invested in a story arc again and they pivot hard in another direction. They're either geniuses or they are totally inventing as they go. One more left after this...

A canon update burst for the last 3 volumes/review for all --

I'm still just as much in love with this show as always. It's time travel, academy & child based, LOST, and it still does own my heart. I loved the things we've learned. There were definitely some gasp worthy seconds for events I was not expecting the slightest. I do love the continual undercurrent theme about "faith" and how much it means, to the people and the supernatural elements of the whole series.

I came back to this series after bailing on it, since I wasn't getting any answers. I was getting more questions instead and it seemed like the whole thing was going off the rails. If the team behind this have a plan, then it's going to be one of the absolute best series to read start to finish. Otherwise, I have my reservations of this going all Damon Lindelof on me.

"LOOK AT ALL THESE PRETTY AND CRAZY THINGS!"

"Oh, cool! I can't wait for the explanations."

"FUCK YOU THAT'S NOT PART OF THE DEAL!"

"Noooooooooooooooooo!"

This moved so quickly and wove more mystery and more questions into the crazy plot. Love it!
