Sākums diezgan baiss un rada sajūtu, ka būs spriedze visu lasīšanas laiku, taču tā, protams, nav. Ap romāna vidu darbība pārliekas uz citu varoni, vēlāk atkal uz citu.
Vīlusies gluži neesmu, bet "sākumdaļas spriedze" no "beigudaļas spriedzes" man atšķiras.

This started as a real 5 star page-turner for me, devouring the first 150p in one sitting. The plot, characters and level of tension were Swedish crime at its very best. Since his arrest, a manipulative and sinister serial killer has been kept in a high security isolation unit for the past 13 years. One of his victims, up until now presumed dead, is discovered, barely alive and Detective Inspector Joona Linna, who has a very personal interest in the case, leads the frantic hunt for the victim’s sister who was also abducted at the same time. Although I enjoyed the book, there were simply too many implausible events that occurred in the supposedly tightly maintained psychiatric unit. Inmates were able to carry out all manner of security breaches that were not observed or heard by the highly trained professionals who were responsible for such high risk prisoners. Joona’s adrenalin-charged race to save his girlfriend was also a bit over the top.
