I have whiplash from this mix of hilarious and horribly offensive essays.

I was smiling by page two, but a little bored by page 45. I really enjoyed the other collections of stories about Sedaris’s life, which this collection is not 100% about.

I was in the mood for essays, not short stories.

I love David Sedaris' stories. I love them even more when I get to hear him tell them.

Hilarious and quick read. Loved the "Sanataland Diaries." Retail at Christmas...I'm glad I'm not there anymore.

I love everything David Sedaris writes. Did I tell you I have tickets to see him next month? Because I DO!

Barely tolerable, supposedly humorous, essays regarding the holiday season. If my book club hadn't selected it, I wouldn't have finished it.

Funny, snarky, and entertaining. I think I'll be reading this again next year. :)

Perfectly morbid holiday stories. Loved all of them especially Monster Mash. I related to the narrator in that one the most which is creepy but upbeat. Great fun, fast read. May be my new holiday book tradition.

Some of the stories were just not his best. But the ones that were good were so funny that the book is worth it.
