Really loved how they portrayed the complicated relationship between sisters. It was a bit triggering in parts, about sexuality and gut wrenching descriptions of eating disorders.

Overall, made me reflect on my immigrant identity as well as my relationship with my siblings.

I liked this more than Emergency Contact, but I think this is the last book I'll read from this author. Her writing is just not for me. Super slow until the ending and her characters are just never likeable for me. Jayne is frustrating on so many levels. My relationship with my older sisters is clearly different but I still appreciate that the book was about a sister dynamic that isn't sunshine and rainbows.
