I enjoyed this book. Not as much as the first book but I loved seeing the story from Travis' point of view and I was happy to fall back into this story again!

The reason why I didn't enjoyed this as much as I thought, was because of some things I've read over and over in other novels.

This was better than Abby's point of view, I won't deny it, but it wasn't that better as I thought it would be.

I reread this after my reread of Beautiful Disaster and seeing the movie. I love Abby and Travis’s story. Travis’s POV could give readers real insight but as I remembered, it disappointingly doesn’t.

More I’d like to see to see:
- a fight with his brothers during childhood
- picking out/buying the ring
- Travis’s thoughts when Ethan attacked Abby
- his brothers’s words of comfort when he returned to the house after Thanksgiving dinner

What I appreciated:
- prologue
- vultures vs pigeons
- the lead up to the ‘almost’ scene with Megan
- new interactions between Travis and Shepley
- last two chapters

This book is a copy paste of Beautiful Disaster with a few extra chapters and a few word replacements. Here is an example

“And I’m not about to be the first one” I said, tugging on the door. “Move Dammit!” Travis nodded and took a step back. I sat beside America, slamming the door. She put the car in reverse, and Travis leaned down to look at me through the window. “You’re going to call me tomorrow, right?” he said touching the windshield. Beautiful Disaster page 217.

“And I’m not about to be the first one” she said, tugging on the door. “Move Dammit!” I nodded, taking a step back. The last thing I wanted was for her to leave, but it was better than her getting pissed off that she ended up telling me to fuck off. America put the car in reverse, and I watched Abby through the window. “You’re going to call me tomorrow, right?” I asked, touching the windshield.
Walking Disaster page 249

This kind of redundancy is 80% of the book. The dialogue and the setting are repeated with very little added. I don’t need to know twice that America put the car into reverse. If Travis touching the windshield was important, it would’ve been better to convey more emotion. ‘My fear of losing her had me reaching forward as if I could touch her face through the glass.’

The prologue, chapter 28, and the epilogue were great. I needed more chapters like those.

Again, I love their story but I won’t be reading anything non-Abby/Travis by this author.

I loved Beautiful Disaster. I was really captured by Abby and Travis’s storyline. This book does offer a little bit more background about his life but mostly it’s the exact same story. I was disappointed in how little new perspective you gain. Aside from a few chapters and paragraphs, you’re going to feel like you’re reading the same book.

Loved this so much I love reading both main characters POV and getting in their heads. I especially loved the epilogue. I think all books should have epilogues for so many years in advance to see how it all played out

Welcome to this book review !

This book is Beautiful disaster, told from travis's point of view... Its amazing ! You can see every reasons as crazy and dumb as they may be, behind every moves he makes. I awwwed even more than in the first book, the thing I loved the most is discovering why he called her pigeon/pidge ! It was lovely, it's definitly a must read, if you have read beautiful disaster (first book in this duologie)This book is filled with potential quotes and lovely things you would want someone to tell you... Can't wait to read and buy the novella : beautiful wedding. When I get the chance to buy it, because I can't wait to go back to abby and travis's world !

What could make Beautiful Disaster and Travis and Abby's story even more perfect? Witnessing it from bad boy Travis Maddox's perspective. The entire book is great and the epilogue gets me every time. As always, you can't go wrong with a McGuire book.

[2.5]

Me gustó un poco. Fue bueno ver el lado de Travis, pero aún así considero que los dos son personas tóxicas. No me gusta Abby. Travis me exaspera. Llegado a un punto me aburrió dedicar tanto tiempo a oír el ir y venir de una parejita así.

Arghhh!!!! WHY?!?!?? For the love of all bookish WHY!!?!?!?!?! As much as I wanted to hear Travis' side of the story SOMETIMES, did we really need the entire book?? Did we really need to regurgitate everything that happened in the first book?? This is annoying and a little insulting to me as a reader, to be honest. I think it would have been a lot better if Beautiful Disaster was told in alternating chapters or view points
