I think that this book just didn’t click for me. It wasn’t that I disliked it, but I found myself not really feeling that  need to finish it that I usually get when I love a story.

Overall, I liked many pieces of this as a finale to the trilogy, but I’m just not sure this book series was for me!

Overall, another great story of our favorite characters but a little bit of a let down as the final book (not counting the novella coming out). It seemed too easy how they won (and a little overly cheesy?) and left a lot of plot holes (why wouldn’t Jacks just try and kill Legend when he was admitting his love for Tella?).

If there was another book to have some closure on that, it would be appreciated. I’m hoping the novella does 🤞

Jurians proposal and Tellas letter were perfect at the end

I really should review books right after I review them instead of waiting a month. I remember having distinct review thoughts, but now I cannot remember.

As best I can tho, here're my thoughts.

The writing is as over the top as ever, but I suspect that I wouldn't mind so much if I read the books instead of listening to them. The narrator was so melodramatic. A shame how much narrators affect my perception of the book.

idk, it all came together well enough. Hurray for the lovers.

Sidenote: there's a lot of passionate kissing and much talk of tongues and dominance and whatever. And...I just cannot relate to this line of spice. Tongue isn't the best part of making out? idk, it just made me smh and smile a little whenever this came up.

I’m tired of this family’s drama.
But also… what happened to Tellas character? The things I liked about her were gone. So many stupid love triangles (I guess it is YA…). And all of a sudden in the last 80 pages of the book people who were always evil are now becoming helpful? And the ending of the story made no sense, was so fast, and way too tidy. Felt like a “oh hurry we gotta switch this to a happy ending fast!” No we don’t. It doesn’t have to be that happy. Now it just makes me angry and confused instead of having a meaningful moral.
Least favorite book of the trilogy, but we did it.
