I really liked the premise but the execution left a lot to be desired for me. I found the author’s to be a bit delusional (they don’t seem to need to work!)

Not for USA readers. Sweet ideas about not owning a car and foraging fruit are just salt in the wound. Good concepts/ big picture moments.

i'm not very into self help books but i did enjoy reading this one! there were some parts of the book that i thought weren't as applicable to my context, and the authors are definitely more on the extreme side when it comes to being frugal, but overall i think everyone can learn a thing or two from the book. just might need to pick which ones that will work for you and which ones won't hehe

a book written for and by fairly privileged people with an aim towards working less and therefore needing less. the authors encourage us to shake up or approaches to money, consumption, and lifestyle in general. it’s a little twee at times but did a nice job of inspiring me to live with a little more intention around spending and lifestyle. unfortunately it is important to add that the authors try to draw some really unnecessary connections between over consumption in a financial sense to “obesity” and “overeating” which makes them less reliable guides for me.
