This was soooooooo cute! Like the artstyle? Literally perfect, I could stare at it for hours.
I miss some of the stuff they cut out but I understand why they did. Fitting about two novels into a little under 300 pages of a graphic novel must be tough.
Anyways! This definitely gets nostalgia points and I will be getting the next one when it comes out!!! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Too much story smushed into too few pages, if I didn't love the original series so much when I was younger I don't think I would like this all that much. The pacing is off and I would've liked to spend more time getting to know the characters.

Love the art, love the adaptation of Into the Wild. I adore how "funny" and animated and silly some cats are drawn; they remind me of cats in ukiyo-e prints. And the rat scene was drawn & paced so dang well.
Unfortunately the adaptation of the second book is totally rushed and doesnt have the same weight at all. Silverstream gets a single scene, the Riverclan cats are very minimal, Spottedleaf feels even less present than she does in the novel, and Sandpaw magically gets a crush on Fireheart for ... reasons?
Oh well. It's still a very pretty graphic novel, and the first 75% is good.

Bonus 100% Subjective Opinion no Objectivity in Sight: Longtail, Fireheart, Bluestar, Barley, Sandpaw, Blackfoot, and Silverstream's designs are delightful. Alas, Whitestorm looks so off from how I pictured him, I wasn't sure who he was initially haha.

A fun read, I love the art style and it’s impressive that each single character has their own distinct design. If it wouldn’t be so time-consuming I would have preferred if each book in this arc had its own GN adaptation because it felt a little rushed sometimes. Still lovely though.
