Owl gifted me this book. Very nostalgic, yet I believe not as good as the original series.

The graphic novel was a fun read, but I donโt think it can beat the original. This version is better suited for young children or those who donโt have time to sit through the books. However, as a lover of the OG novels, I feel as if they left out many important parts. To readers who havenโt read the novel, the character development and overall plot may feel rushed, which it is, due to it being a shortened version of the first two books combined. The art was well-done, I just wish they hadnโt cut so much down. Although, I understand why they had to.
Graphic: Animal death
Moderate: Child death, Death, Blood, Toxic friendship
They changed the order of some events and it felt a little too rushed. Very cute art and i love warriors so it gets 3 stars at least ^_^

It's a good adventure story about a house cat (a "kittypet") that runs away into the forest and joins a clan of wild cats, becoming a warrior. There are four cat clans, and the book covers Rusty/Firepaw's start in the clan, battles and alliances between the clans, friends and secrets.

I liked it, but, as someone who read the main book series, I found a lot of important plot beats from "Fire and Ice" to be missing (not to mention that "Into the Wild" got about 2/3 of the graphic novel even though it is the shorter of the 2 books). Overall a good read and a nice way to get back into a beloved childhood book series.
