oh this poor woman! she was such a kind person and everyone (and i mean everyone) around her was soooo shitty!
all of the sister shouldve been checked way before it got to the point where it was because like . whoa that was too much to handle. i felt sooooo bad for her and what she deserved. i really would’ve ran away from her family if it was me because like. What the hell!
i was so appalled i complained about this book to my sister and omeven she couldn’t believe the drama. i told her if i start acting like one of the sisters, she has my permission to step in and meddle in my life.
the dialogue was fun although i was sometimes lost (may have been a cultural thing considering they were irish in england) but it was an alright book with far too much drama for me. godspeed to this fictional character. ur in my thoughts babes!

Too many characters, too many sub-plots, I could tell which direction the story was going to go in early on and I knew I wouldn’t enjoy the outcome

DNF @ 25 %.
I might be in a reading slump, because this is the second book this month I just couldn't finish.
I started listening to the audiobook, and as other reviewers have mentioned as well, the narration is definitely not the most enjoyable. The accents of Emma's mother and Moses are downright offensive. The writing would probably be okay, but I found it jarring that Emma's parts were told in the first person, whereas Cooper's were told in the third person. I love a dual POV, but this didn't do it for me.
As I'm sure many do, I read to escape my own reality and to see characters get their happy-for-now. 25% in, everybody was just miserable for one reason or another. There are also way too many characters and everyone has something heavy and not easily solvable to deal with (infertility, unrequited love, possibly infidelity, loneliness, and so on).
