I loved this book. This is a heartfelt story of love and hope. Ray will always have my heart . This book proves that your first love will always be your one true love. Nellie is so strong and brave and is the must caring older sister.

Good story about wartime accident that might not be widely known  about if you don’t live in the UK. Sad, but heartwarming at the same time. 

I’m not sure, but I feel Millie Bobby Brown had a personally connection to the accident, and since it’s not widely known could be why the story is written. Good historical fiction mixed with real, truthful detail of the event.

Having seen quite a few negative reviews I admittedly went into this with quite low expectations but I really enjoyed it! It's quite shocking and emotional, with a few twists that I didn't expect. If this wasn't based on a true story I'd note that some events seemed a little unlikely, but obviously that's not the case and it contributed to the story's beauty.
