this is how you write a thriller!

this wasn’t scary, but it was creepy, entertaining and kept me listening to the very end.

I enjoyed the audible reader. I think she did a really good job.

The story wasn't my favorite but kept me entertained
* Mallory working for that family after so many sketch things happened was beyond me.
* the ending was kinda chaotic

This book started out so strong, and then ended with what I can only describe as JK Rowling calling up the author and offering a ridiculous sum of money to name-drop her an embarrassing number of times with a hefty sprinkling of transphobia. The rhetoric in this book surrounding racism, poverty, religion and gender identity is problematic at absolute best, grotesque and shoe-horned in at it's absolute worst.
