Wow, I really enjoyed this book! I've gotten more into psychological thrillers since reading Verity, and this book didn't stress me out as much as Verity did but it was definitely a page-turner. I blew through this book because I really wanted to find out what happened. As per usual, I could not have been more wrong about the ending. I guess that's partially why I liked it so much. Surprise endings are so much better than when I figure it out. I'm so glad I chose this book as my Amazon First Read.

This was a somewhat enjoyable but mostly frustrating read. It's fast-paced and frantic, for good reason, but it makes it difficult to really connect with the characters, especially the main character. The main character just seems so hopeless, perhaps on purpose again.
I liked how it ended, though, it felt like the best way to end the frantic book and I was happy for the characters.

I chose this book because it was listed as a psychological thriller and I got it for free through prime reads on Amazon. There was nothing thrilling about this book, though. The characters were all unlikeable, shallow, and uninteresting. Usually you can find one character to get behind, but even the 10-year-old boy was boring and lent nothing to the story. Don’t waste your time like I did.
