I felt like this book tried to hard to make our narrator so gullible and unaware of her surroundings to believe the reality around her. The ending also fell flat for me.

This book kept me gripped from start to finish - there was so much happening and every chapter seems to end with a big dramatic incident which just meant that I ploughed through this book.

The writing is good and the pacing is fast making this such a quick read.

I think the book's opening is strong - we dive straight into the action and it definitely got my attention.

There are plenty of twists and turns along the way and while some of them were predictable, this didn't bother me because I still found the story compelling.

I enjoyed seeing the perspective of the children involved in this scenario.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the main characters and I ended up not really liking any of them but they definitely showed humanity and all of its flaws.

All in all, this was a great read, I enjoyed it

This is a twisty turny thriller that will keep you guessing.

A group of university friends reunite after 20 plus years since they last see each other. But the reunion doesn’t go as planned. Karen Ali’s best friend accuses her husband of sexually assaulting her that evening after a few too many drinks.

The story goes between past and present timelines, and it will keep you on your toes with who the culprit is.

If you like fast paced thrillers. This would be a good one to read

None of the characters are particularly likeable. They're all quite privileged and insufferable. I highly doubt a 17/18 year old is saying words like bourgeois and using lines like "bastion of unearned privilege".

Fun and easy to read. The writing is pretty simple and basic. The reveal at the end makes sense but was disappointing because it came in the form of a lackluster drunk confession rather than actually working to solve the mystery.
