I’m shocked to see that this book has so many negative reviews. I understand the comment of repetitiveness but other than that, I found it a well-researched & interesting read which tried to avoid the glamourised media perception of mental health & Broadmoor. The stories are intriguing but also told sensitively. The researchers & authors did a brilliant job of including lots of different perspectives.

I thought it was a very interesting read, just a tad repetitive. I enjoy learning about places like this, which is why I’m not overly upset by the repetition. It just took me out of it a bit.

Really fascinating book that gives the history of Broadmoor as well as a look at famous inmates. Some parts of it are very graphic and not for the faint of heart. Overall, a really good book if you are interested in crime or psychology.
