It’s a slightly slow read but very wholesome in the end. A good book to read as a break from some intense reads.

Wow…such a tender and mysterious tale. Twisty and tangled up with a strange sort of magic that can only be from the PNW. I felt so rooted in this story and these characters and the history of the island and these families spanning generations. Complex sticky relationship dynamics and the concept of memory, nostalgia, fates, and legacies. Loved it. A haunting read that I know I’ll be thinking about often!
