I liked this overall. I really liked the story building and attention to detail blending fantasy and history. I also liked some of the dynamics within the friend group. I do think that there are a couple characters that I would have liked to see more about that didnt feel as fleshed out as the others. In general, I think the story may have been better if they had been able to make it longer and pace it differently. However, it was still a good story.

Incredibly delightful! Outstanding art and design, and a beautiful story to go along with it. I was a huge fan of the A League of Their Own TV show, so this scratched the itch that left behind. Each character was a standout, and I loved the choices Walls made in her characterization. I especially loved how each character realized their broom showed a little bit about themselves; it was a nice touch. My only complaint is that I wish there was more!

The idea of magic, the government, and what's allow vs. what's not, was extremely confusing. I wasn't in the to constantly reread sections to understand what was going on.
