Cw: toxic relationships, toxic friendship, abortion, pregnancy

The Good:
• Beautiful artwork
• Exploration of toxic relationships

The Bad:
• Story feels disconnected at times

You Might Like This if You Like:
• Stories about self growth and adolescence

I picked this up mainly because of the artwork, which is stunning. There's great representation in terms of body types, race and orientation.

I also feel like this is a good story for teenagers just starting to date. It highlights how toxic relationships can drain a person and can make them toxic to others in turn. For adults, I don't feel like the story is as impactful, but this may vary on the person.

The story felt disconnected at times, and a bit scattered. I would have liked to see things tighted up a bit for a better flow.

2.5

ngl I felt as though I was completely lost whilst reading this up until around the last 10% of the book. The plot felt a bit messy and all over the place; maybe I'm overthinking it but imo that was likely purposeful to mimick the mental state of our protagonist Freddy, but I didn't particularly enjoy it. However, I really liked how this story wrapped up and the important topics that were discussed (briefly) in this, topics that are extremely pertinent to young people but often not touched upon often enough in  mainstream literature. Also, the art for this was absolutely stunning, definitely a highlight of this book and probably why I opted for a 2.5 rating over a 2 lol

Questo libro non ha fatto per me, soprattutto per via di una protagonista che ho trovato troppo lamentevole e spesso estremamente passiva per buona parte della storia.

Inoltre, la trama di per sé e come essa è raccontata è poco significativa.
