The art in this bumps this up from a three to a four because I truly was in awe of the ability to use one color to convey a scene. That being said, the plot kinda is all over the place outside of Laura Dean keeps breaking up with me. Plus the ending kinda confused me a bit.

The line art in this graphic novel is very detailed & I love the pop of pink on the pages! The plot was really all over the place though— too many complex topics and not enough time to fully explore any of them. Overall, the diversity and representation in this book + the art definitely deserve 3 stars.

Spoilers!
I couldn't stand the main character during most of this book. The reader is supposed to feel sorry for her because she keeps getting cheated on, but it was really hard to be sympathetic to a character that was putting herself in the same situation over and over again (break up with Laura dean already!) She also never puts her real friends first (which gave me Love, Simon vibes). The main theme in the book, cheating, wasn't ever condoned as being wrong and that really took away a full star from me :( I wish that the actual break up with Laura Dean would have had our main character explain WHY Laura is a bad girlfriend. Maybe Laura Dean doesn't deserve an explanation, but I think Freddy needed to put it into words.

I really liked it. The drawings and the narration really served the story. And the message and the depth were good. I liked it a lot.
