I loved that it goes slow in terms of relationships to the point that nothing really happens in this book between Lilah and the guys. But that, along with the cliffhanger ending, just makes me even more excited to read the second book.
I'm really upset with most of the guys for what they made Lilah do to herself in the end. All of them aside from Orion and Finn (although even Finn said something to Lilah that I'm not a fan of) are okay right now in my opinion. But Orion is the only one that I truly believe doesn't need to apologize for anything. But I'm sure being who he is he'll apologize anyway.
I'm excited to get into the second book and see just how the guys make it up to Lilah. I also want to see how they take out the redfangs once and for all. It's not surprising how Craig was involved in everything that happened in the end. He's just an overall creepy guy and I'm not at all upset with what happened to him.

I need the next book now, and luckily I am late to the game so I can read them back to back. I love how self assured Lilah is in spite of and because of all the things she faced. I am so ready to see her relationships grow with the boys, especially Jett and Orion.

Lilah, an omega, is a strong-because-she-had-to-be heroine, who has developed some fairly heartbreaking coping mechanisms. I immediately empathized with her and the absolute shit hand she had been dealt.
I usually struggle with bully romances where the heroine has already had to overcome so much, and the love interests pile on more. But the author gives us multiple POVs and glimpses into how each hero is feeling, that keeps the story not feeling completely hopeless and downtrodden. And the tension at certain points was amazing!
Speaking of the multiple POVs, we have five heroes (four alphas and one omega) who are all distinct, which I really appreciated. And while you may understand their actions thanks to having their POV, you still may find yourself screaming and wishes they’d all come to their senses. 😋
Prepare yourself for a book that will hurt so good and leave you wanting to immediately read the next book in this duet!
