I picked this book as my free Amazon First Reads book (not sure what month).
It was a wild ride. I hated everyone!!
I was 12 pages in when I made my 1st note "WTF?!" It only got crazier from there!!
At 30% I wouldn't have cared if they all died, in fact, I think they all deserved to.
60% OMG!!!!
95% Yeah okay...... Good, it's over
Part of why it is 3 stars for me is I couldn't believe these people willingly hung out together no less went on a hike, I don't care that they were related, they hated each other. But it is 3 stars also because I know I will still be thinking about this book next week, possibly next month, or even next year!!

After the acknowledgement section I am more than a little worried about this author, she said the quiet part out loud in writing!! You are a crime writer you know better LOL

So, there is a lot going on in this book. Not all of it great. Honestly, I found the characters annoying, to be honest. So much unnecessary drama between two sisters who can't seem to get along for anything. Both are having marriage issues that just add to the drama even more.
I'm not sure I would recommend this to anyone. I just found it a bit much, nothing believable. It was all just petty bullshit. The ending was about the only decent part, and even that was predictable.

Einfach nur unglaublich schlechtes Englisch. Wie kann sowas veröffentlicht werden? Zudem Wiederholungen und nervtötende Dialoge. Nope. DNF 5%

Never would have imagined I’d enjoy a book where I hated every single character, but here we are.

Four hikers enter the mountains. Only two return, but it's not who you think it is going to be.

When sisters Cat and Ginny travel with their husbands to the idyllic Swiss Alps for a hiking holiday, it’s not just a chance to take in the stunning scenery, it’s an opportunity to reconnect with each other after years of drifting apart—and patch up marriages that are straining at the seams.

As they head into the mountains, morale is high, but as the terrain turns treacherous, cracks in the relationships start to show. With worrying signs that someone might be following them, the sun begins to set and exhaustion kicks in. Suddenly, lost high on a terrifying ridge, tensions spill over—with disastrous consequences.

When only two of the four hikers make it down from the mountain, the police press them for their story—but soon become suspicious when their accounts just don’t add up.

What really happened up on that ridge? Who are the survivors? And what secrets are they trying to hide?
