This was a good, readable, information packed introduction to social infrastructure. This book is clearly well researched with many recent and relevant case studies to back it up. What I didn’t like though is the author seems to be quite supportive of cops. Very strange with so much other of what I’d call more progressive ideas in the book. Still a good and informative read.

I just read the chapter on public libraries, and will get back to it later. Because there were holds on it at the public library!

The first half was super interesting talking about social infrastructure and community, but the last chapters were very focused on the US and their problems, which weren't really what I was after. This book is written in an accessible language and the concept  are very easy to grasp.
