Even when she's supposedly saving her man, the main character still somehow grants him the power in the relationship. Despite that, again I enjoyed the story and the book in general and will continue on with the next in the series.

Another nail bitter and intense read. We continue the story we’re book 2 ends.

The quality of this series gets worse with each book while the level of sexism continues to increase. Then the blatantly racist depiction of natives in this story put the final nail in the coffin for me. I'm done with this series and this author.

Solid 4.5 stars. Tore through the first part of the book rather impatiently, cause I needed to know what happened to Iannis! But I still thoroughly enjoyed all of it. It was a nice change of pace to get Naya out of Solantha and into the rest of the world.

My favorite part was Fenris and the pilot, because he did what all of us as readers were wishing someone would do!

Also, the author writes sexual tension like a champ.

Ehhh this one was boring. The naked scene was so incredibly awkward, as was every single conversation about her "heat." Her impulsiveness and jealous is obnoxious to the point where I almost don't even want them to be together.

In the third book in the series, Sunaya must get the Chief Mage back. He's missing, and she's unsure if he's dead or what actually happened to him. Now, she will do everything she can to get him back and order restored to her city.

This book was really good. It had Sunaya admitting her feelings in some ways, and had her really trying to figure out what her next move would be. This one sort of ends on a cliffhanger kind of it. It makes you unsure what Sunaya will do next, and curious as what choices she will make. I do look forward to more now.

Star rating: 4.5 stars

After the chief mage Iannis, goes missing while on his way to the capital for a convention Sunaya Baine decides it's up to her to find him before all is lost in the city of Solantha. With her best friend Annia and her fellow shifter Fenris in tow, Sunaya will pull out every trick she has just to find Iannis before its too late.

So far this has to be my favorite novel in this series to date. The action swept me up like a tsunami from the beginning and didn't spit me out until the very last chapter. Secrets were spilled about mysterious characters and the relationship between Iannis and Sunaya was finally acknowledged and set to simmering. My only reason behind not giving this novel 5 stars was that the story line still lacks a certain something that other series' have in spades. I look forward to picking up the next book in this series very soon.
