My headcannon for this book is that Catriona is actually trans but I won't get into that right now. I feel like she is undergoing an intense personal metamorphosis that really resonated with me, and I love how Elias opens her perspective to the kind of life she can have when she's honest with herself and others, when she's surrounded by people who make an effort to understand her. Elias is just SO appealing as a hero and not for nothing but this book contains some of the hottest, most tender sex I've ever had the pleasure of reading!
