The twist got me. This was a great little story!

The Campground Killer is a 66-page story set in the late 90's that follows 17-year old Russ and his Dad on their summer campground roadtrip where Russ learns of the legend, "The Campground Killer" who strikes on the campgrounds they're staying at and has been at large since the 70's.

This is the perfect campfire horror novella that is literally seeping with nostalgia. The references to the 3-D Doritos, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, and Tamagotchis made my 90s kid heart happy, along with the little detail of the Blue Ridge parkway sticker on the cooler, being from NC.
I loved watching the bond between Russ and his father unfold and strengthen with the unexpected twist at the end. Perfect first read of the month of October!

I look forward to reading more of T.P. Theyson's work!
