Ill be honest I pretty much hated this book. Between the cis female main character being described as ugly using the metric of feet so big she can only get shoes “catering to drag queens”, lower Socioeconomic characters being a stereotype of belching fat men with “man boobs”, and the apparent belief that anyone over 40 is a talentless hack. To date rape, alcohol abuse, and post partum depression - for such a short book it gets as many cheap shots as possible in a weirdly forced attempt as being dark and gritty. The plot itself is .... fine? Eh. An hour I’ll never get back.
