Aftertaste was a unique read that I devoured in practically one sitting on a beach day. While the horror element didn’t totally grip me, the premise itself was enough to hold my attention. The mix of food and the people you’ve loved and lost is such a vivid theme and honestly, for so many of us, food is how we remember people. This book plays on that idea to the nth degree. I’d happily recommend it to anyone into light horror, food, and gritty, emotional themes.
