Errrmm sorry what the fuck was that ending? It left me wrenched.

I really love the concept, the twist and how this book is executed. 10 out of 10, no drama.

This story started out as a cool party trick and ended wayyy more fantastical-magical-realism than I expected. The atmosphere is so tense and so well set up, but three-quarters of the way through, the plot gets wobbly. That being said, it was a highly creative take on a haunting narrative. I haven't encountered anything else like it. Read this if you liked FX's 'The Bear' or Mylod's 2022 film 'The Menu'.
