This was a great book...very traditional "summer read" by Elin Hilderbrand...but that is exactly what I expect from her...a great story with terrific characters...a little romance a little conflict...and a nice ending wrapped up with a bow :)

Not the kind of summer read fluff book I expected. As always it was another book by Elin Hilderbrand that I enjoyed. Showing a different side of the Ponzi scheme was eye opening.

She writes really entertaining beach reads.

A great escape book. Chick-lit at it's finest. Read along as Meredith Delinn copes with the sudden arrest of her husband for masterminding a Ponzi scheme a la Bernie Madoff. Silly, completely unrealistic but a fun read.

The perspective in this was really well explained. I enjoyed the two women's perspectives (although ever since I started reading Jodi Picoult novels, I'm running into named chapters everywhere). The dynamic was interesting, the two women coming back together because of scandal. Ironically, they were brought back together by the same person who broke them apart.

I enjoyed watching growth from all of the characters, even the more minor of them. Sometimes, they fall to the wayside, but not here.

The characters weren't described the same way as I thought they looked in my head, but sometimes that's a good thing.

I really enjoyed that Meredith ends up staying alone in her friends house at the end of the novel because it shows that she can take care of herself, that she has grown enough not to be afraid to be alone, as she was so much afraid of at the beginning of the story.

I'm looking forward to reading more of Hilderbrand's work.

Great beach read, page turner, loosely based on Ruth Madoff if she ran to Nantucket as her family fell apart.

Predictable, but I always love reading about summers in Nantucket.

TRITE! Could not finish

Absolutely adored this. Took me right back to reading 28 summers when I couldn’t put the book down. When Elin knocks it out of the park, she knocks it out of the park. A beautiful story with scandal, love, friendship, family, and grief.

A good soapy Elin that has aged well, a nice look how old friendships stand the test of time
