I would give this book 4 1/2 stars if I could. I found it to be completely engrossing which is a big plus in a book for me. I also found it to be a fast read, which is another thing I look for. I would highly recommend this book!

Overall really good drama/romance book! POV told from two best friends that reconnect after ones husband is exposed for being involved in a Ponzi scheme and she only has one person to turn to, her widowed childhood best friend who she hasn’t spoke to in years after a fight. They spend time together on Nantucket island as the Ponzi scheme case folds and summer romance blossoms.

I love Elon in the summer. There are several books I haven't read yet. Didn't know this one was inspired by Bernie Madoff. Overall it was great for my walks to listen to old friends trying to rebuild a friendship in the middle of a crisis. True friends (and love) remain even when you've experienced a rift or a break.

Quite possibly my favorite Hilderbrand book so far. Were parts predictable, sure. But, they were written so well that it didn’t feel saccharine. I connected with these characters- from their ages, to where they lived, their childhood memories and beyond. I was truly sad when it ended.
