This book should be required reading at this moment in our society. Full of insight, hope, and honesty, Kaur's idea of revolutionary love and how we practice it is so engaging it needs more than one read-through. I led a discussion about it which was supposed to be a single one-hour session. Instead, we stretched it out over four sessions which all went well past the time allotted. It is just so full.

The life events, literal labor of love, and viewpoints shared here by Valarie Kaur are among the most remarkable and truly guiding/edifying/leading that I have ever heard. I was deeply moved by this book from beginning to the very end, and am excited and nervous to follow up by continuing the work she lays out.

I've read a LOT of powerful and important nonfiction in the past year, but this one has moved to the top of the list of books that I am begging my mother, my partner, my sisters, my boss, and others who care about moving through the world with love while struggling for justice concerning countless harms perpetrated by us humans against one another and against the earth itself.

5 stars.

Absolutely ESSENTIAL read. I advocate that every single person who feels called to pick up this book immediately. This powerful, poignant message is necessary in today's current culture - and essential to us having any possible hope in building a better world.

The audiobook is read excellently by the author.

This was a really thought-provoking book. I definitely will need to reread it again to really absorb all of the ideas. It gave me a lot to think about.

What an incredible book! The most powerful memoir that I have read in 2020. I can not recommend it enough. Thank you to Valerie Kaur for this gift to the world.
