Pulled in from the first, Ours is a complexly beautiful journey from slave ships to the not quite freedom of Black America today. A cast of characters bound together by trauma, isolation, and tragedy all seeking love and belonging in a town of their own making that’s meant to be safe and enduring. Williams’ debut novel is an epic well worth the read!
