Just phenomenal
I have read good reviews of this book and don't feel a particular need to emulate. It is Fire and Ice on standby I guess. The progression of the story, which was always slow when it wasn't ridiculously fast by skipping crucial events has diminished to a suggestion. If you have come this far, however, you are, like me, likely to plod on.

such an interesting mix up from the first few books. BRIENNE AND JAIME FOR EVERRRRRRRRRR.
Brienne's chapters were boring asf tbh...but the rest of the book was great, especially Cersei's and Jaime's chapters. Book jaime is so superior to show jaime sigh, I love his character development and how he doesn't give a fck about Cersei anymore....well he still does, he still thinks of her quite often but he threw her letter in the fire and won't come to help her...that's what I call GROWTH, that man is done with her..as he should!! Show jaime could never be the man that book jaime is (he once was though sigh but season 8 butchered his character..) ANYWAYS I'm not here to talk about the show.
I can't wait to read the next book, I deeply missed the other characters...especially Jon. His chapters are the best.
Really hope there'll be more mentions of Rhaegar (during Daenerys's chapters maybe???) because that man is truly fascinating to me.

Holy crap did anything actually happen in this book? I guess a lot happened, surely nothing was resolved. Heaven forbid the plot moved beyond one season in 4 freaking books.
okay so this one took me a little bit longer to get through than the others (mainly because the ironborn povs always drag for me) but its finally done. the second half ish of this worked better for me. seeing jaimes arc conclude in the way it did was very satisfying. but i think the reason this didnt work so much was because of how disconnected everything felt. i think there were concepts of a plan in everyones different narrative but perhaps grmm couldve cut a little bit more... anyway im excited for adwd but also now im going to be waiting for twow with everyone else.
