This novel was a bit more tedious than the previous three--there was not as much adventure (except for Brienne--what a tragic character) as there was political dialogue and small council meetings. But what I liked the most about it was the perspective from some of the common folk on how the War of the Five Kings affected more than just the families of noble birth--how it was destructive for everyone in all seven kingdoms and beyond. I'm looking forward to the last novel that delves into the more dynamic characters.

As always in the song of ice and fire, there is this one POV you are not really excited to read, in this one for me it was Cersei's. Obviously her chapters were interesting, but her actions were kind of insufferable.
