This book captures in an interesting way the mental decline of the protagonist and is a good choice for fans of literary fiction. Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of the plot or the writing style, but that's alright... It's just not for me! Also I found that there were too many accounts of animal abuse, a personal topic I don't enjoy reading about, so that put me off too
