My friend loaned me this book, and I never got around to giving it back to her before I left the country (SORRY!!)

But I've kept it all these years, and now and then I read it. It is written in Tagalog, which at first intimidated me because reading Tagalog (and even Cebuano, my native tongue) gives me a headache. Too many vowels. But this book made it easy. Almost fluid, actually.

There is humor, and then there are parts that hit your core (or close). From childhood to college, Bob Ong took me to a journey throughout school life. It was a fun read, and a bit depressing at times because of how real the words seemed to me.

As far as I remember, this is the second book of Bob Ong that I read. I read this book last year, around November? I'm not aware of the month but I am sure it is -ber month, I borrow it from a classmate. I am sure that I read this book during our Advanced Statistics class and I finished it right after our teacher dismissed us. It is very short yet meaningful. I enjoy this one the most, because of course I am a student and as a normal student, I understand the things that Bob Ong wants to share. I can relate in some of the situations and I loved it. I got bored in some parts but I really enjoyed reading this book. I don't own a copy of this book but I'd like to. ^^

(#12 Read a book about education)

Grade 7 ata ako no'n.

ABNKKBSNPLAko?!'s rate of reminiscing three stars portrays my vigorous recommendation for the book. The stories will surely induce your classroom memories: the teachers, fellow students, and the unforgettable experiences. These memories might become short-lived due to the writing approach but they will depart with a wondrous feeling; an emotional sepia. Students are the main focus of my high recommendation. Reflect with this read.

The strengths of the book are its overall nostalgic atmosphere that induces an interblend of humor and reflections making its totality a complete page-turner, charmingly refreshing writing style that engages with the reader's personal experiences, and lastly, the transformative message for the development of the country's future in education. The weaknesses I found are its inability to construct a main flow; momentary imagery made it short-lived, and the anticipated ending of origin reappearance.
