Aside from another amazing epic battle... SOMEONE became very honest about his/her feelings.
I wasn't prepared for that AT ALL, but I very much loved it nonetheless. The adventures continue!

This one never felt like a Drizzt book until the excellent final thirty pages. :s
Not that I don't care about Jarlaxle, but egads, where was non-shoehorned Drizzt stuff?!
Nowhere near as good as the rest.

Starts out slow, then halfway through the battle starts that continues for the rest of the book.

The first part gets into the time of troubles, but it's not really built out beyond some handwaving and magic being weird.

Possibly cleric quintet should've been before this book?
