I love Sibby, loved her in the haunting and hunting Adelaide books.
Was so excited to finally get her story, and it was a heart wrencher. The end was a sucker punch to the gut, just felt so sorry for her in the end.

It’s recommended to read this before the Haunting Adeline books, since it takes place before - I didn’t do that, and I definitely wish I had, because reading it after meant I knew everything that was going to happen.
I wish this book had gone more into depth in her time in the cult. Instead, there was a lot of gore and violence around her time with Satan’s Affair. It was good, but nowhere near as good as Haunting Adeline.

Sibel works at a haunting fair that travels around the country called Satan's Affair. Sibel's sole goal in life is to eradicate evil demons. She can distinguish the difference between good people and those that are evil by their smell. She travels around with the fair dressed as a spooky doll and with the help of her henchmen extinguishes demons when they venture into her doll house exhibit.
Satan's Affair should definitely come with trigger warnings. The first half of the book is quite violent and gruesome with numerous mentionings of abuse in several different forms (physical, child, sexual, etc.) It was really hard to keep reading at certain points. At a few points, I wanted to DNF but kept pushing through to see what others saw in this book as well as to see where this crazy ride of a book was going to take me. All of that being said, the second half of the book was much better, in my opinion, and I actually started getting absorbed into it. I thought the spicy scenes were pretty hot although it was the last half that really redeemed this book for me. I think the author did an amazing job visually with their writing in the book even if it was a bit too much for me at times. I read this book because it was highly suggested to read before beginning Haunted Adeline. I don't think this will deter me from reading that book and I look forward to it.

I finally read this one, AFTER the cat and mouse duet, and it definitely is a prequel to that, so I wish I would have read it first.
Either way, this one introduces Sibby, and we see her, but not her actual beginning, although we do get bits and pieces scatter through.
Sibby is CRAZY for sure, but for some reason, I love her character! I can't WAIT to read her duet when it comes out.
