I just couldn’t get into this one. Detective Austin Michael screwed up on a bust and the prime suspect got away with the money and drugs. His supervisor God brought in a bounty hunter Judge Josephson to assist Michael in tracking the drugs and money and hopefully apprehend the suspect. On the journey, sparks fly between them.

While the intimate parts were really sexy, I didn't enjoy this audiobook like I enjoyed the prior three books.

Another enjoyable book in this series. The Nothing Special series has officially became one of my top 5. Judge and Michaels are so perfect together and I absolutly love Book! Can't wait to read more about them in the next books.

i don't know what it is about these guys but i really do like them! the love story in each book really just does it for me. i like that even those these guys are closed off and alpha bad a$$es that they go all soft for their partners. these guys are no exception. and i loved seeing all the guys from the previous stories in the book. yes, there were several times i highlighted parts of the book that didn't make sense or that made me think 'WTF". yes, there were procedural issues. yes, the timeline is a little off or hard to follow. yes, the ending was a great teaser for the next book only to turn the page and have the little surprise given away. none of that, for me, took away from the love story of these 2 men. if you liked the rest of the series, you'll love this one.

I really enjoyed this. She is one of the few authors that can make me laugh. Judge and Austin are great and the heartbreak was so hard to read.

Love is a precarious thing.

I had bookmarks with huge contents in my phone on my app but I lost them 'cos yeah I cleared this book the minute I finished it.

I don't understand how Michaels in 3 years went from the sweet cop guy that Green and Rux weren't sure should be recruited in God's team to a guy with serious anger management issues. Was it the lack of sex? If so he should really go for a hormonal treatment or something 'cos when Judge won't be able to give him the D, the dude might go crazy.

Did we really needed the poker scene with Michaels and his dad? Was it so that Justin dude would be introduced cos he might get a book later on? 'Cos in the end just like always with this series, the whole shitty parent was quickly swept under a rug with a throw away comment of "mom always put dad in his place when he started on me". Really where were she all the other times that Michaels was getting it from his father?

Because of the time skip we have sugary sweet Curtis & Genesis relationship.

And the thing that really annoys me with Mrs. Via's story telling that was plenty apparent here and on God and Day's book (I won't even go to Day's Almighty Knowledge in this book) is the disparaging comments and tone towards twinks, guys that like makeup or are more effeminate, guys that wax and take care of themselves. Yeah you are all big, hairy Alphas we get it! That doesn't mean you are better than others.

I have to say that I'm really disappointed in that book, and not because of the editing since English is not my native language I tend to notice less these kind of things. I'm a huge fan of AE Via, I have all her other books and I love them ! I read them multiple times but I just didn't enjoy Don't Judge. Michaels was so different from Here Comes Trouble; he was this young, fun, kinda naive guy and ended up being depressed with anger management. I just don't get what happened. I kinda like Judge and his character was more interesting but I wish Michaels could have stayed like he was in the third book.
I was also hoping we would get to see more of Gen and Curtis ...
I'm still really looking forward to the next one in the serie and hopefully I will like the main characters better!

See, this is the point when all the other non-attached characters start griping about their lack of romantic life, it's a pattern that continues until Book 8 (with the exception of 7, because that's a different pot of kettle). Also, what happened to the nice-but-too-eager Officer Michaels from Book 3? Instead, we have a wayy too aggressive man with anger management issue. And a sappy heart. Also, Judge is a bit of a asshole, even more than God.
But the tension between these two is probably the best from A. E. Via that I have read so far.
A mild spoiler for Books 5 - 8, if you care about positions:
the last reversible couple in the series so far (am I the only one who thinks couples who both top AND bottom are way hotter?)

Good action story though romance is more the focus than the action storyline.
