I really enjoyed this one! It started out a little slow but about a third of the way in it really picked up and I finished the rest of the book almost in one sitting. The twists were perfectly timed and I found myself always wrong with my guesses. The only thing is I wish we would have found out the true identity of “marker man” and his reasons for stalking Meribel instead of the abrupt ending. But overall I really liked this book!
Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow and of course the author, Joshilyn Jackson for the advance digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

What a disappointment. I have read all of Ms Jackson's books and have never been disappointed until now. The writing did not seem as polished as her other books. At time, it was all over the place. There were too many plotlines, which seemed to be Ms Jackson's way of trying to throw a curveball, but it just didn't work for me. By the big reveal, I didn't really care that much about what happened to Meribel or why. I'll try Ms Jackson's next book, but this one just wasn't for me.

Slower than I would have liked. The ending was amazing and action packed but the rest of the book was a bit of a slog.

Darn, I so badly wanted to like this one but it just was a big miss for me. I couldn’t connect with the characters. I didn’t find anyone likeable and barely any interest in the storyline. I tried my best to stay invested but I just found myself looking forward to the end so I could move on.
