If you are considering reading this book I have 1 major piece of advice for you...DO NOT FLIP AHEAD. I'm not kidding you. Don't do it. I didn't and I'm so glad about that. You will enjoy the crazy, surprising, "I did not see that coming" twists all the more. And there are some major twists to enjoy.

Quick read but definitely did not live up to hype. There a few major plot points, poorly paced and wayyyy too long. The author sure loves to eat a dead horse.

Kind of a let down tbh. This book was very hyped up, and then in the middle of the book I was so ready to be done reading. The twist in the middle is good. The first half had me intrigued, and I really bought into Amy, then the twist hits, and it’s exciting. Then I was kinda just hanging on trying to see how it would wrap up, trying to decide if I still needed to care about these terrible people. The last third is exciting. The ending I know is controversial, and I’m not bothered by inconclusive endings usually. But idk I felt sorta meh about it. I think I would’ve liked it more if I’d never heard of it. I also won’t take any reviews calling this book feminist literature in good faith because it is not good feminist literature

Absolutely could not put this book down. I read the entire book in 3 days. Really gripping, fast paced thriller. A couple of times I had to go back and reread certain parts because I was in awe of what happened. Ending was ok.. But overall great book! Sucked me and spit me out and had me loving every word Gillian Flynn writes!

Considering I have seen this movie 7-8 times since it came out I was expecting just a little more from the book.
I’m satisfied with the book as far as the story and writing! Of course.
I just mean usually the book is always better, and I’m not sure
