gillian flynn, you’re kinda crazy, girl

i do have to say that justice not being served always hurts me and i feel for that poor child but… alas

I reallly, really enjoyed this book.

Characters: both main characters, Nick & Amy, are shitty in their own ways, Amy primarily being the especially shitty one. Yet i found myself rooting for her, despite her being a crazy fucking bitch. ALL the characters are really well developed. I loved Nick's relationship with his sister Margot "Go". Amy's parents felt really fleshed out in their own ways, but they do act as a singular 'Amy's parents' unit.

I loved that this book was placed in Missouri, but that's also because I was born there and so it felt like a bit of a nostalgia trip to the midwest, which is where my heart and home are.

The only reason it's not a 5 star is because the ending felt a little too easily tidied up. I mean, you could say it's realistic and made sense, but then again, it felt..
Spoiler how was Amy able to cover up the fact that she tried to frame Nick for murder?! I mean, I get it, everyone hated the cops for blaming Nick but also... I dunno.

This book had me excited to read more. It took a minute to get into it.. I think the writing style felt a little dense and intimidating at first but I stuck it out and I'm so glad I did. Really great. Read it. It's amazing.

they are truly a match made in hell. way better than the movie imo

Finally done or should I say Dunne? Sorry had to. Yeah wasn't a fan of it. It started slow got a bit better but only after 250 pages which is a lot, I saw the twist coming, I don't know if I saw spoilers for it or not though, and I didn't like any of the characters and the ending was just meh. I don't quite get the hype but to each their own.

Couldn't put it down but really, which character do you hate more?

This was terrifying. Well written but oh my god I hate all of these people.
